Ashley discovered her curiosity for yoga when she was 16 years old and over the last 18 years has harnessed a consistent well-rounded practice that is reflected in her teaching style. In 2013 she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training and has since continued her education in learning a variety of yoga philosophies such as, Anusara, Ashtanga, Hatha, Trauma-Informed, Vinyasa, and Yin. Ashley loves to incorporate breathing techniques and meditation into her classes in order to better connect a student’s mind, body, and spirit. She is also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist and has worked in acute inpatient and residential behavioral health settings for over 7 years. Ashley holds an MFA degree in Creative Writing and Poetics from the University of Washington, Bothell. She lives in Shoreline with her partner Kyle and their cat Bruce.
